Support Educator for Lovisagatan 23 B/E Group Home Temporary Position

Your New Job

As a support educator, you will work based on decisions according to SoL and LSS. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that individuals receive the support they need to live as independently, meaningfully, and qualitatively as possible. The work is characterized by a pedagogical and motivating approach that strengthens the individual's independence, development, and motivation.

The tasks vary and may include personal care, medication management, and support in household maintenance. You always start from the individual's conditions and wishes and actively work with case management, implementation plans, and social documentation.

As a support educator, you also play an important role in guiding and strengthening the workgroup in pedagogical efforts. You contribute your specialist knowledge regarding methods, models, and legislation and work to improve the quality of the services provided. Together with your colleagues, you identify needs and create good conditions for development at both the individual and group levels.

Your Qualifications

For the title of support educator, post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities with a pedagogical focus is required, encompassing at least 200 YH credits or 60 HP, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least two semesters of full-time studies. Previous work experience with the target group of mental disabilities is an advantage. Furthermore, you must have proficiency in Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as you will be communicating with colleagues, citizens, and relatives. Social documentation is also part of the work.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and confidently handles various situations with a stable and professional demeanor. You collaborate well with both colleagues and other professionals and have a service-oriented and attentive approach where the citizen's needs are always at the center. You have good pedagogical insight and adapt support and methods according to the individual's conditions. Additionally, you work in a structured manner, plan your work well, and ensure clear documentation.

Welcome to Us

The Lovisagatan group home is centrally located in Jönköping and consists of two buildings with five residents in each, totaling ten residents. The residents have various mental disabilities, and their support needs vary based on their daily condition and well-being. The staff group consists of eleven employees, primarily support assistants and two support educators. One of our support educators is currently on parental leave, and therefore we are looking for a replacement.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns a full-time parental leave position starting on June 1 or by agreement and extending until August 31, 2027. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays as well as weekends. We work with joint planning, which means that work with several residents may become relevant. Recruitment is ongoing with rolling selection and interviews.
